The Ceremony day

The project for education of midwives in Georgia was started in May 2008 in cooperation with HERA XXI (Georgia), Tbilisi State Medical University, ETC Crystal (The Netherlands) and Rotterdam University of Midwifery (RUM).

The aim of the project was to enhance the education level of Georgian midwives up to the higher standards and prepare tutors for new midwifery undergraduate programe of TSMU

On May 21 was a ceremony day was organized for midwives - participants of the workshops. The ceremony was attended by Professor Zurab Vadachkoria - Rector of TSMU, Professor Rima BeriaShvili - Vice-rector of TSMU, Professor Kakhaber Chelidze - Dean of faculty of physical medicine and rehabilitation; Medea Jgharkava - Coordinator of professional educational programs of TSMU, Staff, Press, etc; Also, Nino Tsuleiskiri - General Director of HERA XXI, Tamar Kachlishvili - Program coordinator of the project, Leon Bijlmakers - ETC Crystal (The Netherlands), Esther Jurgens - Consultant International Health ETC Crystal (The Netherlands),etc.

The ceremony was opened by Professor Kakhaber Chelidze. He offered his acknowledgements to Netherland (RUM & ETC) and Georgian (midwives, HERA XXI, TSMU) partners for fruitful cooperation, hard work, enthusiasm and concern. He expressed his hope for future cooperation.

Then Rector of TSMU, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria thanked all partners for such essential job and promised do everything for successful implementation of this project. 

At the end of the ceremony Marion Van de Harn (RUM) reviewed the oerfomed job in sum. She indicated on the good midwifery skills and theoretical background of Georgian midwives. She handed certificates to all participants.

The last point was declaration of rating of participants according to preliminarily prepared topics. The assessments with appropriate explanations were delivered to each.



  
   
 



Young Investigators Award and Moderated Posters Prizes
EuroPRevent 2010

The best moderated posters per EACPR section (Prevention & Health Policy, Epidemiology & Public Health, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Sports Cardiology, Exercise Physiology and Basic Science) were selected onsite during the Moderated poster sessions of EuroPRevent 2010.

The six winning posters were displayed until the Saturday, 9 May 2009 in the exhibition area. Each presenter have received a certificate in recognition of their outstanding scientific work.

Among the winners in section of Sports Cardiology (Chairpersons:K-P Mellwig (Bad Oeynhausen, DE), D Corrado (Padova, IT) is moderated poster of
Clinical Center of Sports Medicien adn Rehabilitation of TSMU "Evaluation of left ventricular hypertrophy in  highly trained adolescent athletes" .
